The second generation Nissan Micra with the designation K11 entered production in 1992 and was distinguished by the widest body palette in the history of the model, which even included a convertible (FHK11) and a five-door station wagon (WK11). After an update in 1998, which entailed light adjustments to the exterior and the appearance of other finishing materials, the car was kept on the assembly line until 2003 (in Taiwan - until 2007).

The car of the 2nd generation, as before, performed in the European class "B" and was available in five body styles at once: a 3- or 5-door hatchback, a classic sedan, a 5-door station wagon and a 2-door convertible.

Depending on the version, the length of the compact ranged from 3695 to 3746 mm, width - from 1585 to 1595 mm, height - from 1430 to 1440 mm.

The length of the vehicle's wheelbase was 2360 mm, the ground clearance did not exceed 150 mm, and the curb weight was from 770 to 1010 kg.

Specifications. The motor range of the "second" Nissan Micra united:

  • in-line petrol "fours" with electronic fuel injection with a working volume of 1.0 to 1.4 liters, which generated 55 to 82 horsepower and 79 to 120 Nm of maximum torque,
  • equipped with a car and a 1.5-liter diesel unit with a capacity of 58 "horses", producing 95 Nm of torque.

In tandem, the units were assigned a 5-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable CVT (in all cases, the potential was supplied to the front wheels).

As a base for the 2nd generation Nissan Micra, a front-wheel drive platform was used with the following chassis layout: MacPherson struts and an anti-roll bar at the front and an H-shaped torsion bar at the rear.
The power steering was not installed on the small car, and the brake package was tailored by disc mechanisms on the front and "drums" on the rear wheels.

Among the advantages of the Nissan Micra K11, owners usually distinguish low fuel consumption, a fairly roomy interior, reliable design, availability of spare parts, good handling and excellent visibility.
Disadvantages include stiff suspension, poor sound insulation, small trunk and poor light from head optics.
